Northants Senior Youth League East Division champions Corby Town suffered only their third defeat of the season when Eynesbury Rovers won 3-0 at Steel Park.
Eynesbury, looking for a third-placed finish, had Jamie Hutchinson on target twice with Aiden Stockwell netting the other.
Rothwell Corinthians and Thrapston both finished off their league campaign, with the latter unable to move off bottom spot after suffering a 4-0 defeat at Seargents Lawn.
Luke Richardson bagged a brace for the home side, with Liam Willis and Elliott Morgan also finding the target.
The big game in the West Division between Woodford United and leaders Cogenhoe United fell victim of a waterlogged Byfield Road pitch, meaning a rearranged game for next week.
As a consequence, the play-off final due to be held at Rushden & Higham on Thursday (April 26th) has been cancelled and rearranged for Tuesday, May 1st at the same venue.
AFC Kempston, beaten 4-1 by AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the Knockout Cup on Wednesday, would need to overturn a nineteen-goal deficit against Northampton Spencer next week to prevent the Cooks from winning the West title – irrespective of the outcome of the Woodford encounter.
There were a couple of matches played in the Jaymann Shield this week, with Woodford winning 3-0 at Northampton Spencer in Group D with goals from Elliott Herbert and a Koby Arthur brace, while Whitworth went down to a 3-2 defeat to Olney Town at East Street in Group C – Tom Simpson and an own goal accounting for the Flourmen`s tally.
However, as this is now only a two-team group following the withdrawal of Cogenhoe, the sides are playing home and away legs with away goals counting double in the event of a tie, so those two goals could prove important for Whitworth.
