....with a 1-0 win against Kettering Town to lift the 2016 Knockout Cup at Raunds Town`s Kiln Park.
A decent crowd saw a classic `game of two halves` in which West Division Chenecks had the better of the opening 45 minutes and the East Division Poppies dominating the second.
Some early challenges meant that Aaron Clipston, later to be named referee of the year, had to be alert as both teams looked to take command.
Midway through the half, though, Chenecks went in front with an excellently-taken goal from the ever-dangerous Lewis Irwin, whose snap shot from the edge of the box beat Micky Kirby in the Kettering goal.
Chenecks` front two of Irwin and Brandon Williams were a constant danger, but the Poppies kept the danger at arms` length in general.
The second half saw Chenecks reduced to occasional breakaways with Kettering on top.
However, chances were at a premium and most of the football was in the middle of the field.
But in the end it was the Northampton-based outfit who triumphed, thanks to that first half goal.
