Congratulations to Rushden & Higham United and Kettering Town, who both made it through to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup on Thursday night.

Rushden & Higham travelled to AFC Dunstable and found themselves 4-1 up and coasting with just 8 minutes remaining.

However, the home side battled back to make it 4-4 and, despite possessing the momentum, after a goalless extra-time period, the hosts were beaten 4-2 on penalties.

The Poppies hosted Nuneaton Town and in contrast to Rushden & Higham, found themselves 2-0 down at half-time.

But a great second half comeback saw Kettering overturn the deficit to go through by the odd goal in five.

Where next?
